I just got back from my first ever renaissance fair visit! I don't know how many people here are fans of the fair but I just have to say that this was one Awesome trip and I am so happy I got to experience this. Everyone there were fun, nice, happy people who taught me alot and showed me a great time. I even had a thirty minute conversation with a pagan follower about their holidays and his thoughts on Christianity. I chatted with a Pirate about him fighting the Spanish Armada... (hahaha man was he great). I didnt attempt to speak any olde english though. Too embaressed :- (
I went with Erin, my roomate Dan, Erin's mom, my old Gamestop boss Ryan M. Kinka, and his wife Sheila. Dan and I were the "virgins" of the group and had to be shown the way by everyone else (no we didnt get dressed up but now I really wish we did). There was a hypnotist there that put on a great show and had one huge guy with tattoos and a shaved head crying into his hands because he thought he had lost a fish worth a million dollars!
Anyways, just thought Id share a little bit of my adventure with everyone. I think you stein-fans would have had a fun time with these fellow crazies. Hahaha
