Yes, not all information on Wikipedia (not Wiki, as a wiki is a website or similar online resource which allows users to add and edit content collectively) is correct. And yes, in cases where sources matter, you probably shouldn't use Wikipedia as your only source. But what most people seem to forget, is that mostly, the articles are written, reviewed and edited by knowledgeable people. If I read something that is demonstrably false in an article on a subject I'm more than familiar with, I will correct it. I wouldn't dream of editing a perceived error in an article on say, the effects of industrialization on the lunar landscape, as I know next to nothing about that. Wikipedia is only as correct as the people who use it allow it to be. Saying "Wikipedia is an awful source, but..." is a weak cop-out, as you can help to make it better yourself. Rant over. And having said that, > [Wikipedia] mentions that Jim wrote and produced The Everly > Brothers' version of A Kiss. Is this true? AFAIK, yes. | |
