| Bob, I've always thought that Meat was something of a Steinmaniac, too. Meat certainly gives more credit and spends more time paying tribute to his songwriter/producer than any other artist I've seen. He's even made an appearance or two on this bulletin-board to refute allegations. And like all Steinmaniacs, it appears Meat will break down in frustration at the lack of output, excessive recycling, and total weirdness that is Steinman. Meat waited to make Bat III with Jim for years, and I'm convinced he'd still be waiting... I can't even speculate as to what Jim thinks of Meat. Jim's a bit of a sophisticate and I imagine it might be more stimulating to work with ALW and his friends than Meat -- who appears to be a little better at hard work and emotion than thought. The truth is it all seems too silly for words. I can understand if the lost opportunity that was Bat III resulted from Jim's illness. But, if it resulted from Jim simply finding Meat boring or obnoxious or unable to sing to certain standards, it's a rediculous loss. Best, -=John Galt=- > I always thought Jim adored Meat and Meat adored Jim.
