I suspect that you're right, and Jim could work harder on new writing than he has in the past 14 years, as many of us could. But even if he were many times as prolific as he has been, I don't see why he'd benefit from giving his songs to aging and declining singers. If he woke up tomorrow and instantly wrote 100 all-new brilliant songs, I'd say give zero of them to Meat Loaf, zero to Bonnie Tyler, and 100 to younger singers who are in their prime. | |
