I just don't think people should live their lives by something that a book says. I mean, a book telling you what to do? Now that you mention Harry Potter, isn't that what Tom Riddle's diary did to Ginny Weasley? And look where that ended up... I appreciate the Old Testament as a book of moral tales. I don't believe any of it but they are like fairy tales, and they have a moral. As for the New Testament, there is proof that Jesus existed. There have been incidents like Bernadette and the Miracle of the Sun (which, btw. would make a phenomenal song by Jim Steinman, Elton John or the Red Hot Chilli Peppers) and I am agnostic. I don't believe that there's nothing out there, I'm a very open-minded person. I just don't think we should be like "the Bible says, now do it." That's all | |
