I can't speak for everyone in here, but to me this place died when quite a few of the regulars in here turned into portraying pure hatred around the release of "The Monster Is Loose". These individuals pretty much told everyone who would give the album a fair listen that we were "worthless scum". This behavior is what turned me away from posting in here, and I haven't really seen any improvement in the 15 months since I stopped posting regularly. Some months ago one of the individuals who was spreading the hatred was banned, but when this person returned a few weeks ago we pretty soon got the same hatred we have read so many times over the last year and a half. It really gets boring to read this hatred, but some of you obviously can't understand that. There is really no wonder why a lot of people turned their back on this board, as this place is really depressing with all the fucking hatred. To me this happened way before Susan returned, and I'm sorry to say that I can't blame anyone else than the most regular and long lived posters in here for the downfall of Rockman. I said before I stopped posting in the fall of 2006 that this hatred would scare most people away from the board, but I was pretty much just told I was an idiot for not hating everything regarding Meat Loaf and "The Monster Is Loose" (an album I won't referee to as "Bat Out Of Hell III"). Since then I've kept on reading this board in case of any news popping up, but apart from that and some great downloads and links, there is sadly nothing for me in here anymore. As long as the hatred is the main subject for quite a few of the posters, there really is no chance of this place ever coming to life again. | |
