I really like the idea of a TV casting show, as it'll promote the musical to a much wider audience. If Jim can jump on as many bandwagon's as possible, Find Me A Star(type show), American Idol, X-Factor etc etc etc with a couple of compilation CD's that could easily be knocked togeth released as well, then nothing but good could come from it.
But I understand Marvello's concerns, however, it's theatregoers that's going to make or break the musical not rockers. And once the rockers have seen it and leave, the show is then screwed. Just like DOTV was screwed when all the Crawford fans stopped going to see it and the theatregoers wouldn't touch it with a bargepole. Once bitten and all that.
Bat Out Of Hell: The Musical will probably be Jims last major project if it doesn't work out. I think he should pull out all the stops on this one and use any and all means to promote it as he can.
