| For what it's worth i like the rest of you our of the opinion that TDE has run out of steam. Well i never thought it would be "full steam ahead" whilst i enjoy the snippets from the collective tables, i believe the presentation would have been all wrong, lets be honest the were not exactly exciting at Georgia. I don't know about the USA and other european countries, but here in the UK theres a whole host of tribute acts earning more than a crust off of Jim's songwriting, just about every adult in the UK knows BOOH, it broke here 1st, it was here meat flogged his wares during the lean years. I've seen Steve Steinmans shows the work and work well. Resurrect The Dream Engine, but not as a lounge band, think of Fire Inc as a template, hire the best musicians who've played in the tribute bands (less rehearsal time)and put a Rock & Roll show on the road, the tribute acts sell out time and time again, if Jim got behind it it would sell in the UK. I believe PB ultimatly failed because of it's presentation, had it been more rock n roll i think it would have been better received, after all Jim may have come from a theatre background, but his success came in rock music. Thats what this fan of BOOH the ROCK album wants. | |
