| I actually don't hate Meat's version. I do think Desmond added some great spice to the song. I think it's one of the worst Steinman songs, but not a horrible song in general. That said, I do prefer the Wuthering Heights version. It's a fairly simple song, lyrically. The basic production on WH suited it well. Out of the context of that project i'm not sure i'd feel the same way. Should find a way of letting Mike Vogel know that if his acting career washes up (maybe it already has), he could make a new career singing Steinman tunes. I really like his vocals on all the WH tracks. Still one of my favorite albums. The Lord of Excess recording and/or producing a basic album. Turned out great and would love to hear more tunes done in this fashion (I guess Over The Top did this) but recorded to an album. > Besides all the bad things you can say about bat3 (and > there are a lot lol), theres one song, that really won in > quality compared to the original, IMO of course, and > that's break it. > > was listening to both, meat loafs and the wuthering > heights version, today and i have to say that Mr Child > really did a good job on this one.
