No, I have never seen "Whistle Down The Wind" once in my life, except for the original cast album and the video of the Aldwych production (It's out there.) For a start, they're not going to top that performance, music, book, lyrics, direction, design and everything else that was magical (if a little flawed) about the Aldwych show. Cheapening it, especially with what I call "theatrical sleeze" Mr. Bill Kenwright, would have ruined the experience for me. He took out all the best parts, from what I've been told by FRIENDS who SAW the show, and are great fans of Jim Steinman or Andrew Lloyd Webber. After "Dance Of The Vampires" and "The Monster Is Loose" I couldn't stand to see another cheapened version of a Steinman masterpiece. God knows the other 2 STILL linger in my memory...
