I'd hate to see that.

There was nothing wrong with the vocalists on the Pandora's Box album, if anything Jim should look at updating the backing tracks as the Bova-synths of the late '80's sound dated in places.

I don't see why everyone seems so keen for Jim to work with established names. I can understand the commercial aspect of it, but (and this is just a personal thing here) I don't really want one of my favourite songwriters to start hawking his wares around the latest flavours of the month just to get a hit single.

Working with Bonnie was right - she was right for his songs at the time (and she wasn't exactly a big name at the time either, having not had a hit in the UK for 5 years), but I can't say I've enjoyed the fruits of his works with Boyzone, Westlife or Celine Dion. Even Barbara Streisand and Barry Manilow ended up making inferior versions of songs done better elsewhere.

If Jim really wants to re-establish his name in the music business (as opposed to the musicals business), then he needs to come up with an album of brand new songs and an artist/group that is right for those songs. Endless rehashes of past glories only suggest that even Jim knows he can't better what he has done before. And I don't believe that is the case.
