Even though we all know that we're told what the "that" is over and over...I can add a serious mystery "that"...one I've long thought would fit.
I won't do that = I won't go back to my homosexual liefstyle.
I can see this song being by a gay guy that has fallen deeply for a woman who fears that one day she'll loose him to true sexual orientation.
