I've always wanted to see an "ultimate version" where they try and fuse both versions. Based on "The Dream Engine" cover, Jim seems to prefer the "Streets Of Fire" version. But what came first? SOF or BA? Surely, it would have to be SOF? That way Jim could say Meat has the alternate original version, instead of the other way round? Also, changing the mixes to make them more commercial, I see how that works. I think the US mix improved the album, because the original always sounded odd to me. At least they didn't change the cover and the record label, like "Blind Before I Stop". I still prefer the Arista original. The Atlantic cover is so bland. | |
