That's what makes the US version work, it wasn't in the original. Possibly it's about certain age for best taste or her birth year was a particularly good year, just like with wine. Or he wants her blood because she's young and most of all still a virgin and therefore innocent. If it'd be love, he wouldn't subject her to his fate but spare her. | |
