Do you think "Back Into Hell" sounds timeless? For all of its brilliance and ingeniousness etc. I don't think it sounds timeless. I think parts of it really date it and you can tell that it was recorded around late 80s, early 90s. I have the same problem with "Bat Out Of Hell" which almost (ALMOST, and I can't believe I'm saying this) turns into 1970s Dire Straits. And that was another reason why I was looking forward to "The Final At Bat". Because with the market these days, they could have gotten away with something truly unique that stood the test of time. Now, "Bat Out Of Hell" and "Back Into Hell" does both of these things, but I can still place what era they were recorded in. That shouldn't be a problem, but it is to me. Sometimes.
