The writing, in the prologue, in the staged version on Broadway is stupid. But in the November script, I like it. There's something almost ritualistic and hypnotic about it. Sarah's almost dead-pan, sleep-walking while she's wide awake and barely even notices the Vampire attack (Plus, if you take careful notice, the description of the Dance is based on the cover art for "Bat". The introductory scene with Abronsius was great as well. They could have kept that if they hadn't dragged down the prologue with all the stupid jokes. | |
