| I see that Desmond Child is an inductee this year: http://www.broadwayworld.com/viewcolumn.cfm?colid=25647 I can't believe Jim hasn't been inducted yet, and 1994 would have been a good year, after the success of Bat 2? I've no idea how Jim is perceived within the industry, but I would guess as 'expensive' (LOL), and a bit of a 'rebel/renegade', and it may put these organisations off? Could be wrong, but if Phil Collins can get in.... http://www.songwritershalloffame.org/inductees_by_year.asp In regards to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame, I think Meat Loaf is well overdue, but I don't think they will ever induct Meat AND Jim as a duo. Primarily because they never were a 'duo', and Jim has always been perceived as a writer/producer, rather than a 'named act'. I don't think Meat would appreciate sharing the honour, either? However, if he ever does get inducted, you would hope he calls Jim up onto the stage. | |
