Well, this year's been uneventful, except of course for the Berlin Steinevent which was great (but exhausting). Oh, and I'm hoping to pick up an interesting project to do with missiles (helping to make sure they go where they're aimed ... nothing important then ... LOL).

What I can say about this year is that hasn't been shit, unlike most of last year when I had more hospital visits than during the rest of my life from birth onwards. Fortunately all turned out well, with the strange pain that was "somewhere near my ear" and lasted for 5 months eventually being traced to my jaw, which is too small for my head and doesn't fit in the socket properly. At least it's been proven I don't have a big mouth LOL. Or maybe it's just that my head is too big? Anyway, during the course of the investigations I had an MRI scan which came back with the disappointing result "your brain is perfectly normal". perfectly normal ????. A steinfan with a perfectly normal brain??!! I was at least expecting "My, what an impressive brain you've got there."!! Even "Your brain is so small we're amazed you can even stand up" would have been better than perfectly normal!

That lot occupied my mind for the first half of the year, but then things got worse. I won't mention the embarrassing minor problem I saw my doctor with, but during the course of the discussion I mentioned that I could often feel my heart bouncing away. "Oh, that's nothing, lots of people get that" he announced. Then he tested my blood pressure, and went silent. His face said it all. Numbers high enough for immediate action. I don't want to be too dramatic, but those figures apparently equate to a 5-year life expectancy if untreated. Of course I am now being treated, and the pills plus a whole new diet are doing the trick, and hopefully no permanent damage was done to heart and kidneys.

This year though, no health problems so far, still have 5 cats, still have 1 wife, still can't get enough of this steinman stuff, and now can't wait for the Oberhausen trip to arrive.
