Sorry, I wasn't being too specific.
If you look at the 1st and 2nd verses and choruses of "Edging Into Darkness", musically, they're the 2nd half of "Bad For Good". A better example would be to listen to "Song of The Dream Engine". It's the same thing, musically, just the melodic and lyrical lines are a little different. The bridge in "Edging Into Darkness" does connect with the guitar solo/intro and chorus of "Bat Out Of Hell". ie. "I'd sacrifice myself at any price..." becomes "Like a bat out of hell, I'll be gone when the morning comes." It's more of a loose reference than what "Bad For Good" Part II/"Song of The Dream Engine" is but I noticed it right away. The third part is obvious. But some people don't notice that Jim recycles riffs/introductions more than he recycles entire melodies. The third part of "Edging Into Darkness" is just the riff to "Making Love".
