LOTR was praised for it's staging and scenery, but I think the music & lyrics were 'lacking'.
I've also read that the weekly running costs were extremely high as well, and the show was possibly not breaking even?
I'm hoping Bat will surpass LOTR in terms of spectacle, and we all know the songs have a huge following.
