Silly me, as a Batman/Sondheim fan, to forget that a) "Sweeney Todd" was recently released on DVD and b) "The Dark Knight" is due out in cinemas anytime now. A big site came across my link, and some others to do with Batman, and there were pages upon pages (as usual) ripping down Jim's work and saying how pretentious and cheesy it sounds (Funny, because I think he turns those qualities into good things. There's something gloriously cheesy about Jim's work but it's not gloriously cheesy at the same time? It's sooo hard to explain.) Anyway, yeesh, nearly 2000 hits overnight. Time for champagne.
