I can understand your grievances Mr. Head but personally I like Jim's recycling (admittedly he probably does it a bit too much). I see it as meeting up with an old friend and seeing how they've changed or noticing a different side to them.
I think the recycled elements in the Batman demos fit in nicely (or at the very leat are not out of place).
