Jim's not the only composer to play games like these i.e. Puccini tended to reuse his Overtures and "The Music Of The Night" was originally "Married Man" for Sarah Brightman, recorded when Andrew was divorcing his first wife and dating Sarah etc. Music is so malleable, so changeable, and you can reuse anything without anyone ever noticing (I have to admit it's not Jim's fault that "The Dream Engine" and "Neverland" bootlegs surfaced.) It's all in the Arrangement and Orchestration.
