Well, okay then!

Resurrecting this from an old thread seemed appropriate.

1. About you: Michele, 45 in a few months :O Married to husband #3 for almost 8 years, mother of a boy and a girl, ages 7 and 3. Moved to Austin, TX two years ago after 40 years in Southern California. Trying to decide what to do with my life.

2. How you found Jim's music: Sort of embarrassed to say it now, but I was into Rocky Horror when I was about 16-17, and occasionally they would play the Meat Loaf/BOOH videos before the movie. My little group of friends and I would listen to the album all the time. In fact, I remember wearing out several cassettes of it, before CDs came out. Didn’t really become interested in Jim, per se, until this year when, as mentioned elsewhere, I saw the Classic Albums about BOOH. I’d probably seen it before, but for some reason this time it really struck me. Googling Jim led me here.

3. Have you ever met Jim (details): No, but I’d love to. I’m afraid I’d act like a dork and say something stupid, though. I'm very shy.

4. Favorite song: Favorite Jim song, or in general? It changes all the time, so it’s hard to say. Right now I’m liking Surf’s Up and Not Allowed To Love. Favorite artists are the Beach Boys, the Beatles, ELO, Elton John, Led Zeppelin, Paul McCartney, Pink Floyd, the Ramones, Steely Dan, etc.

5. Your other interests (besides music): reading, singing, cult/horror movies, interior design, sewing, Starbucks :P

6. Book you're currently reading: I try to keep it down to 3 at a time, although I have a bad habit of being in the middle of up to 10 books at once. I read mostly non-fiction. Right now I am reading A Parent's Guide to Asperger Syndrome and High-Functioning Autism: How to Meet the Challenges and Help Your Child Thrive (my son has ADHD and has been diagnosed with PDD-NOS). Next up is Big Bosoms and Square Jaws: The Biography of Russ Meyer, King of the Sex Film.

My avatar is how I look now, but here’s an old one of me and George Romero, when I was sporting a Bettie Page ‘do:
