At what point did Jim ever become incharge or is this just guesswork?

Yes technically a cover band since a good 80% plus of the songs they sang are covers of previously released material. You can go to my blog where I uploaded ALL known boots of the OTT & TDE shows with setlists and try and prove me wrong if you like.

When Meat Loaf was a less known Broadway talent he never sang Anything For Love because it hadn't been written yet. Bat1 never really spawned any hits but the album has sold millions (I think you already know this) AFL became a hit because of the $millions they ploughed into marketting of Bat2 and the fact it's a phenomenal song sung by an already very well known singer.

What evidence? A lack of new songs recorded isn't evidence of a lack of new songs written.

There's some fans who I wouldn't trust a single word they said, but there's others who I would trust. Since you've pointed out (and I totally agree with you) that little material (old or new) has come from Jim since the strokes, that isn't proof enough Jim hasn't or isn't writing mew material.

You might have a point about JD...BUT...there's been no news on Google, so no news is good news in my opinion.

If you mean I'm speaking from bias because I don't think Rob Evan is all he's cracked up to be, then you are correct. Since TDE has come to nothing and it appears Rob Evan isn't going to be releasing any new songs by Jim anytime this decade, then the faith Jim had in Rob and his talent obviously showed that Rob wasn't worth the gamble.

There's a tonne of stuff Jim could be doing to get his music out there and I've said it many times before, Jim is surrounded by talented people but I don't think have Jims best interests at heart.

Hmmm good points, but artistic versus financial success is a tough call. Although I'd prefer both, financial success can give Jim freedom to be artistic and persue other projects.

I don't think Jim's writing furiously, but I do think he's writing. Didn't he claim a while back (post-stroke) that he's writing one new song a week for this Biker Mice Of The Round Table, or whatever the hell it's called?
