Of course noone says it should be promoted as > a project he's INVOLVED, but he should be mentioned quite > prominently. Would be the same if you promoted Mamma Mia > without ever mentioning ABBA. > I see this as completely different. I don't think he should be mentioned quite prominently. Bat Out Of Hell was a musical before Meat came along. It has and always has had a real story. It is not a Jukebox musical. People who go to it expecting a Meat Loaf musical will be disappointed and will cause it to get bad word of mouth and ultimately cause its failure. It should be promoted as Neverland. Otherwise you'll just get people who will feel they didn't get the show they wanted. The best way to promote it is to point out that it is a Rock and Roll version of Peter Pan where the Lost Boys are Teenagers and not children and that the Original Bat album was songs that Meat recorded from this musical. > > that seemed to be a misquote. To be honest, I think Meat > Loaf has better stuff to do than making up stories about Everytime Meat gets caught lying he claims the press made it up... I can see the press getting facts wrong...but why would they say "Meat is in contact with Jim Steinman via e-mail about the musical" if Meat didn't claim this. Why would the press come up with a quote like Meat said about Nikki Sixx, "Someone finally outwrote Steinman": unless he said something along those lines. > Apparently he cant make a difference between his usual > hate-rants and a proper discussion among grownups. *roll > eyes* Most people on the internet can't. | |
