I'll add my stuff to this thread. It's taken ages just to get authorised to post. From various UK Music mags the following songs were described as Steinman-like. Jane Child - Monument, heard it but just do not see the comparison Todd Rundgren - If I Have To Be Alone, heard it and can recommend it as it is quite theatrical and epic. Also recommend Love In Disguise from the Second Wind album Andy Weatherall was described as the Jim Steinman of club/dance music. From some time back Hunter/Ronson - Beg a Little Love Wendy and Lisa - Don't Try To Tell Me More recently there are few songs which I think fit the bill Evansescence - My Immortal, The 2 main musicians are meant to be big Meatloaf fans Eurhymics - I saved The World Today, sweeping and soaring with operatic-like vocals by Annie Lennox Without new Jim stuff we need new artistes to provide similar stuff, or is it out of fashion? | |
