I don't know who Ray Fox, but I think Meat takes quite a bit of bashing on this forum, one of the reason I don't always bother to post as most probably hate my opinions. OK, I can see some of the reasons of the bashing; his voice live isn't too great anymore and Bat 3 shouldn't have been called Bat 3. I personally think monster is loose would have been better with LESS Steinman songs on it and just the Monster title actually (so we all have different opinions on that). All the sueing bollox I'm not sure about and you can read anything into that stuff I reckon. From what I understand the lawyers just fabricated stuff, even without Meat's involvement. Was it worth getting the Bat title for? Probably not and he alienated people at that time. But he definitely admitted to that early 2007 and I could see he thought he made mistakes. Moreover he probably thought he could have waited to do the album with Jim. But in 2005 he was quite desparate to get the album done asap to ensure at least some decent touring.

I think some of the shit is over the top here, but at least there's freedom of speech. MATLAF better than Monster is Loose?, no way.
I still play Monster every few days when driving in my car, whereas Matlaf maybe got about 10 listens during the 90s and that was it.
I actually think Meat's voice is great on Monster. Believe Jim was impressed by it as well. If Meat can still sing like that on the next Rob Cavello production, then I think it will be great.
