soonerdawg, I have to echo Pud's reaction on this. CHOICE and the present civil liberties we take for granted in this country are MY primary motivations--is that too 'liberal' for you? A law that in effect forces your wife/girlfriend/sister to carry a pregnancy to term after a vicious rape is something you'd be proud to support? You back these nonsensical Republicans and you can look forward to that and alot more. Gee, wouldn't 'botched abortions' be under health care? McCain and his Pain are clueless for solutions there--they'll just tell the mother that she's going to hell because there rationale basically begins and ends there--Obama has many good, feasible options out there proposed for fixing our very screwed up health care system worthy of enertaining--and to my knowledge, Obama has never declared any of his reasoning to be 'for God's sake'! Taxes are how this nation takes present financial responsibility instead of passing it down to our children and beyond. I hate paying them. Cedar Rapids, Iowa, just 20 miles from me, was virtually destroyed by a 500 yr flood in June--I drove though it today and it's still a disaster area. Yes, my taxes will hopefully help some of those folks. But let's allocate taxing where it belongs. The working poor cannot absorb anymore. CEO's with umpteen million a year paycheques can probably handle some more taxation IF it's deemed worthy and properly appropriated as can some businesses--times are tough for everybody. And yes, we DO need to start talking to other nations, rouge in particular. Maybe, with PRECONDITIONS CONSIDERED, some talk would actually help before the nutcases accelerate and cost US lives unnecessarily... I personally feel Obabma is capable of that talk. When the Republicans' idea of 'talk' for the last 8 years has been nothing but bullshit and lies, it's easy for them to dimiss it. When someone like Obama backs it with ideas, inspiration and actions, it's quite different. Gettsyburg seemed to matter once--but now Abe's party seems to think that crap like that is 'only words'. What more did he have than hope and ideology when he gave that desperate speech? The Republicans are poised to lead and keep our country safe?? Like they have for the past 8 years..Christ, give me a break and wake up.. You scare me. Leesa J > LMAO...what a crock! > > So are you for or against abortion?
