Hi, my name's Judy Garland. When "Over The Rainbow" became one of the greatest musical standards of all time, I sued Harold Arlen and E.Y. "Yip" Harburg because I had a major part in the overall presentation of the song and, therefore, deserved compensation and credit. In effect, you might say I was an additional lyricist on "Over The Rainbow", believe it or not. Btw., I also did "Lion, Tigers And Bears" based on a meeting I had with their respective lawyers at the time re: my involvement with a few of the numbers.

It's a lot more complicated than that. First of all, Jim started work on the songs during the creative development of "The Dream Engine" and "Neverland" (For example, We have proof that "Heaven Can Wait" existed in 1970 and "For Crying Out Loud" possibly existed in 1975. They were also performed by different singers.) Meat Loaf offered his vocal but a piano/vocal arrangement (which was all they offered to producers when auditioning the album in the first place) does not constitute for a joint creative effort. First, you have Roy Bittan and the musicians who expanded on the basic arrangements and then you have Todd Rundgren and everyone else. In the end, you're looking at something that actually started with Jim, Meat was brought into it (and Jim said in interviews that he taught Meat the songs line-by-line, phrase-by-phrase etc.) and everyone else.

Therefore, I think everything that's been pasted here is a sack of dogslime.
