The article says Jim was writing the music and co-writing the lyrics with Martin Charnin.
Maybe this was something he worked on with Ray around 1986 (when they did Confidence Man again) and then developed it further, a few years later with Martin Charnin?
I doubt Jim will ever write his autobiography, but it would be cool if someone close to him (JD, Rinkoff) could put together a complete history of his musical projects (including everything that never saw the light of day).
Maybe a (thick) booklet as part of a long hoped for box set of demos, unheard studio cuts, alternate versions etc etc.
