Somehow our friend's album "The Bat Strikes Bat" gets a review in the latest issue of Classic Rock magazine. To limit the amount of publicity he gets, I won't reprint it here but the gist is that whilst it was a pretty ballsy idea to try and write an album in the style of Jim Steinman it was ultimately futile as no one without the special kind of genius Jim has could accomplish that. It says the album sounds better than Meat without Jim; but a quick spin of the "Blind Before I Stop" album reminds us that's not saying an awful lot.
The review was written by Jon Hotton who is a big Steinman fan and will take any opportunity to mention him, and it gets 6/10.
