And for an example of a lie that DOES hurt. I just bought a Nintendo DSi. I bought it specifically because reliable sources said that a download service of oldschool gameboy, game gear, and so on games would be available at launch. I was so excited at the prospect of having all the old classics on one card, ready to play whenever I wanted was just too much.
Of course 170 dollars later it is now a "possibility for the future".
