I prefer Celine's version but I might have judged the PB version unfairly because I didn't like the video. Although I don't know. Celine is not one of my favourite artists but I loved her singing IACBTMN. I also liked the video. It was simple and showcased the song. Yes. There may be an inconsistency. But Air Supply videos are so amazingly cheesy. The Pandora's Box video isn't cheesy. It's a mess. It doesn't support the song at all. But it's completely different than an Air Supply video. I would rather watch Pandora's Box than Air Supply. The sad thing about the Pandora's Box video is that it could have established some really first class artists. Their chance at fame was destroyed by a video that couldn't possibly appeal to the general population. Some people say that the TEOTH video didn't have much to do with that song but at least it did it's job. It helped to make the song famous. Also, no member of Air Supply is a genius. That's why they needed Jim to write a song for them. Simon and Garfunkel are so amazing that we might forgive any bad haircuts. Although, I still think they look charasmatic and interesting, even without thinking about the music. They started off calling themselves Tom and Jerry. | |
