I also saw that documentary and when it was over I found myself convinced that Spector was innocent. Before watching it, I thought it was an open and shut case and that Spector was guilty. But the documentary brought up a lot of facts about the lady who died (she had very bad mental problems, her friends said that she was suicidal, and she desperately wanted to restart her failed carear - she may have thought that Spector could help her and reacted badly if he said that he couldn't). After hearing these facts, I couldn't see Spector as being guilty beyond a reasonable doubt. If the jury had seen the documentary, Spector might be a free man today. I wonder if the facts about the victim were even presented to the jury. What happened to her is very sad but she might have pulled the trigger herself. A lot has been made of Spector's history of threatening people with guns but he never pulled the trigger. He was just trying to scare people. The guns were probably not even loaded. His history with guns certainly isn't proof of his guilt in this case. | |
