I don't think that was the case. At first I thought it was but now I'm convinced that it was Jim's health.

Jim only wrote two songs, which is his usual output. The rest were a rehash of BFG and PANDORAS BOX. IDAFL was already a few years old.
One of the very first reviews of BAT 2 called the whole thing a joke as the songs were leftovers from BFG.
