Yeah they did do a 'presentation' at Sydmonton with the view to doing a film, but I think they were persuaded by everybody that saw it (at Sydmonton), to do it for the stage instead.
Not sure if Speilberg was onboard or whether it was just hype at the time?

I think Jim has done a bunch of stuff with her and I read in Kerrang (of all places) back in early 90's, that the early incarnation of 'Wuthering Heights' he was writing with her was titled 'Total Eclipse of the Heart', which is a much better title!
BTW - I've always thought 'Ravishing' would work great in a version of 'Wuthering Heights', and Jim should have put it in the MTV film.
