I know this strays from the topic a little but have you ever seen the film "The Adventures of Baron Munchausen" directed by Terry Gilliam? That character is starting to remind me of Jim. In the beginning of the film, the town is in the midst of a terrible ongoing war, the world is in the midst of progress and the Age of Reason. The Baron's philosophies and adventures no longer fit the grid although they remain magical and fantastical. Nobody believes this frail old man is capable of lifting the siege on the town and embarking on a series of adventures defying reality as we know it. But he succeeds. And not only does he lift the siege on the town, he survives death. Do you believe the Baron? Also, what's more interesting and kind of funny in a way, in the beginning of the film the people are watching a performance of "Baron Munchausen" as a stage production in a broken down theatre, constantly bickering and arguing amongst themselves. Beyond, the critics watch from their private boxes...
