That if the statutory rape charges were dropped a long time ago Polanski would have been allowed in the US. Therefor putting him at the helm of the DOTV production and it probably not turning into a stinking pile shit.
Polanski should never have done what he did and he should never have fled the US. But from what I've read (and please prove me wrong) at the time Polanski had sex with her he didn't realise the girl was under age. Does that make it OK? no it doesn't.
