The Bat Out of Hell title didn't sell the first record. The songs did.

The title certainly played a role in the success of Bat II, but I would suggest about 50% of that album's success is due to the lead single, IDAFL.

After the records that followed Bat II and the loss of the curiosity factor, the Bat title won't sell many records anymore; that's been proven.

Meat *can* sing well enough, in the studio. He just needs a good single. Or two. Bat III did not have that, and shame on everybody involved for not knowing it.
