Yes. It is time for Jim to offer Meat Loaf a new song or two, but only on the following conditions: Jim and Steve Rinkoff produce, engineer, and approve the mastering of the single. The song should be the first single released on the album and Meat must put in the sweat that he typically does in promoting it.

If I were Meat Loaf, I'd insist that it be a song that has genuine single potential and not a recycled showtune. I'd consider Body with an extra verse and an expanded bridge similar to IWDAfL. Other than that, I wouldn't want a recycled frankensong no matter how much I love Steinman.

I don't have the same confidence in Cavallo's vision that you do, but I think that the new single of a Jim Steinman / Meat Loaf song could help boost the Bat Musical's chances. Additionally, I'd love to hear a new Meat Loaf song written and produced by Jim Steinman. For me, it seems stupid that the two decide to fail separately when they could succeed together -- although, I understand Jim's position.

Now, I'm not naive enough to think that with Cavallo on board and already recording a full album, Meat has the budget for the full Steinman production with Roy Bittan and the gang on a single, but we can still dream.

I would buy a new Meat album for a two or three songs written and produced by Jim Steinman.
