Long Winded Post - Do Not Read If Easily Bored!

I know that some of the things in this post have been mentioned in other threads but I wanted to just write one long and probably dull reply to various different points and add some new information that hasn't yet been discussed. So please forgive me for starting a new thread.

Especially consider that some of the posts I want to reply to are now almost at the bottom of the page. Very few posters will read them.

I was horrified when I clicked on the so called Jim Steinman Twitter link. There are things which Jim is meant to have said that he would never say. For example, one addition that was posted the day after the Twitter thread below. It said (pretending to be Jim): "Hung with 'Loaf today, man can that guy party. New song idea - biker tries to settle down, can't, loves the road too much? Still rough."

This is absolute crap. It's not even the way that Jim talks.

Someone suggested that it is either Ryan or Susan behind it (I am allowed to mention Susan because someone down the page brought her up). Well I know almost for certain that Ryan is not behind it. He is too intelligent. What would he have to gain from posting this kind of stuff? It is not the kind of thing that would turn Ryan on. And I don't think it was Susan either. I have recieved hundreds of emails from her and read hundreds of her posts and web pages and it just isn't her style. She doesn't come up with strange ways of saying things. She believes the things she says and she is not actually trying to fool anyone. She thinks that what she says is true, unlike the idiot who is pretending to be Jim on Twitter.

I don't know why nothing can be done about these things. On the page before this one (click "older messages"), Ryan talks about the time he went to Jim's lawyer Howard Siegal (spelling?) over some posters posting libel about Jim on the board.

Well, maybe Howard should take some action to get this Twitter page removed. It has already got a sizeable following which is only going to get bigger.

I would like to thank Ryan for saying: "“Mr. Egg” is the only person who posts anything interesting these days."
This means a lot to me because I have great respect for Ryan. I think his idea for using Jim's music in a production of Frankenstein is absolutely brilliant. Perhaps the best idea for using Jim's music that I have ever heard. I certainly hope that he doesn't give his vision up. One day it will be a big hit.

Also, could I remind the people in the critics section that Lord Rahl has stated that he likes my posts? I know they can be long and dull but the critics used to have goes at Bright Eyes for doing the same thing. There should be all different types of posters if this board is truely going to be an uncensored mirror of the people who have been touched by Jim's words and music.

If only Wordnix could return from exile to speak up again. I was so pleased when he stood up for me during some homophobic attacks.

Conas is another poster who posts things that I enjoy reading. In his "The Hompage" thread, he hit the nail right on the head when he wrote: "We all know that Bat Out Of Hell is the third biggest selling album of all time, but why is it all over the homepage now? A picture of Michael Jackson beside Jim too. After all the insults aimed towards him on this forum since his death, maybe Jim is trying to tell us something."

I noticed that many people who posted to the thread conveniently ignored the point that Conas was making.

For one thing, it is not a great picture of Michael. And it should be a surprise to anyone who sees it if one considers how many not very nice jokes and insults were posted about Michael. I see what the designer is getting at but I hope he or she has another go at creating the page.

I know that JD is in charge of the board but who designs it? Everything else is brilliant. A long time ago someone told me that Daveake does the design but I am not sure if that's true. If Daveake does design the board, then I would like to apologise if I have insulted him during this paragraph.

I do believe that Jim and Michael have some things in common. I have got into trouble on this board for making the comparison but other people who know Jim have said the same thing to me. I am not in any way saying that they are the same kind of person but I do think their shared obsession with Neverland and all things JM Barrie is just one of the things they have in common.

Therefore, I should probably thank the designer for putting a large picture of Michael next to a large picture of Jim on the Home Page.
