You obviously don't like TV casting shows which is fair enough, but I don't understand why you seem to think that by doing a TV casting show it will 'dilute' the 'art' Jim has written?

If Jim has written a great musical, how is a TV casting show gonna change that? I don't think they would ever 'alter' the musical to fit with a casting show or any other marketing scheme? The casting show & marketing would be designed to fit with the 'art' that has been written?

I would also suggest that they DO need to create marketing schemes or plans well in advance. Jim and his producers are probably thinking all the time on new & ingenious ways of capturing the publics attention?
