Jim's Amazing Speeches

I have just watched the DVD of the 1978 German BOOH tour. I thought the most impressive parts were Jim's speeches. When he is sitting with his hands up on the piano. Meat looks tired (after a year of touring) and he doesn't sound nearly as good as he does on the album (I am hoping that Ryan was correct when he said that new technology will make the live songs in BOOH The Musical sound even better than they did on the album) but Jim's speeches are amazing. Easily, in my opinion, the best part of the show.
My favourite was The Guitar Speech.

Speaking of speeches, there seems to be some confusion lower down the board regarding the Ribbons Of Blood/God Has Left The Building/Devil's Playground speech. I think that this speech may have originally been intended as lyrics for a song (when Jim blogged them) but if you read the lyrics on the blog and imagine them as a speech for Hook, I hope you will agree that it will be an exciting part of the show (although nobody can perform those speechees better than Jim himself and the BOOH 1978 DVD is proof of that).
