I **believe** the legal situation being as it is with regard to The Monster Is Loose/Bat Out Of Hell - The Musical Meat couldn't be in it even if they both wanted him to be, so as Rob said it's an academic question, but still an interesting one. There would obviously be a marketing(eugh) advantage with Meat in the cast but... (unless he was in it for the long haul) it would undoubtedly affect the show when he left as that 'album' connection would be gone and it might be perceived as the B-Team after that. The show being strong it would survive however.

Some other thoughts: I suspect being part of an ensemble cast wouldn't sustain Meat's interest for too long, not saying he's an egomaniac or anything but he'd probably get itchy feet. His 'emotional' style would not really fit with the contemporary musical scene's arch-professionalism and the need to be 'on song' night after night.

Short answer: Nice idea, but no. Don't think it'd be good for either party long term :p
