Should Meat Loaf Be Cast As Hook?

Would there be any advantage to casting Meat Loaf as Hook in "BOOH The Musical"? It might be good for him because he often collapses from exhaustion on stage and with a musical he wouldn't be on stage all the time. Also, it would be a chance for him to mix his acting skills with his music skills. I would have thought that the way he is would make him perfect for the police chief controlling the streets of post-apocalyptic Obsidian. Perhaps he could wear makeup similar to the makeup in the Anything For Love video. His inclusion would certainly sell some tickets. At least to the Meat fans who associate him with BOOH. And tickets are about to go on sale for his Albert Hall gig, which will almost certainly sell out. There is no shortage of Meat fans. It may not translate into album sales but then neither does the popularity of the Rolling Stones translate into album sales anymore.

On the other hand, it is supposed to be "Jim Steinman's Bat Out Of Hell The Musical". Something tells me that Jim probably wouldn't be too keen on casting Meat. This is Jim's chance to finally get the most credit for a BOOH product.

There are those who say that Andre De Shields would make a wonderful Hook. He is a great performer but would he really have the same impact as Meat Loaf?
