In reply to: Should Meat Loaf Be Cast As Hook? - steven_stuart 11:43 pm UTC 02/04/10

I've said this before and I'll say it again, I think Meat Loaf should have little to no involvement whatsoever. I'm not denying his part in the "Bat out of Hell" legacy but this is a time when, more than ever, they need to get Jim out of Meat Loaf's shadow. It's a horrible rut to be stuck in because Jim only really worked on 2 albums whereas the rest of his career has been Air Supply, Bonnie Tyler, movie soundtracks like "Footloose", "Streets of Fire" and "The Mask of Zorro", Barry Manilow, Barbra Streisand, Take That, Celine Dion, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Hal Prince, Michael Kunze, Roman Polanski, and even the dreaded Michael Crawford.

And since it's been so long and we've had to go through the whole horrible "Monster is Loose" saga in the meanwhile, I think they need to re-establish that Jim just isn’t the man behind Meat Loaf. Give the Hook role to Bryn Terfel or Shuler Hensley (His Jud Fry was magnificent.) Give it to Rob Evan!!!! He was PHENOMENAL on "Land of the Pigs".

Better yet, GIVE IT TO DUSTIN HOFFMAN!!!
