| You know, I appreciate that Meat wants to try different musical styles instead of the same pseudo-theatrical, bombastic, occasionally epic, melodramatic rock and / or power balladry that he is known for, but... Other styles just don't suit him. He tried nu-metal w/ TMIL, and it fell flat. This new track sounds like Beck, to me. It doesn't suit Meat. And frankly, if this is the 1st single for HCTB, they may as well call up the graphic designers working on the artwork for the 2nd single and tell them to scrap the whole thing, because it won't happen, just like Blind as a Bat. Can't speak for the UK, but I predict this song will get laughed off US radio before it ever gets on, and nobody will give the new record a chance. It will look like Meat is making a desperate, late-game attempt at career-resucitation by changing to a more fashionable sound. Which may be accurate.
