I don't understand it either. I have usually regarded buying a concert ticket to see Meat post 1994 at least, as the equivalent of buying a lottery ticket. If you hit upon a night he's "on" he can still be pretty good, if you hit an "off" night he struggles. I saw him in 1988 and he was in near perfect voice, saw in in the early part of the '93 Bat 2 Tour and he did not miss a note that I noticed. Saw him twice more later in the Bat 2 tour and his voice was just "OK" one night and almost gone the next. I really think he should concentrate on studio work where he seems to be back to form and do occasional live appearances instead of tours. Compare the "Bat" performance on Operastar with the QVC vocals.
