| Indeed I thought Prize Fight Lover was the best song too. The whole situation is crazy: 1) Best song from the recording sessions doesn't make the album 2) Best song has the least amount of vocal processing on it as far as I can tell (Meat's vocals sound a bit more rough/natural on there whereas I think the rest have been ProTool-ed to bits as Covallo almost points out on the DVD you get with the set) 3) The lack of vocal protools "over"-engineering doesn't make a damn bit of difference and still makes the best song the best song so think they concentrated on the wrong thing(s) really with the rest of the album...? I honestly thought the album would grow on me (I was VERY enthusiastic going by the early sound clips released) and I gave the album a crazy amazing review on the meat loaf site which I now absolutely regret posting. There is simple no subtleness on the album and that is perhaps what is lacking. It's like the first song, everything sounds great until you get to the chorus: "I -DON'T - WANT - PEACE - ON - EARTH". It almost sounds childish and lets the entire song down which is such a shame. I'm now left with a big overly prized box set which should have had better songs on/in it. At least I have a reasonably good live cd from the 2008 shows which will probably be my last good Meat Loaf memory.
